W.O.W.W. Ministry
A World of Wonderful Widows! Many churches do not have programs that specifically deal with grief. At Park Lane, our experience has led us to determine this is one particular area of need that must be addressed, especially for the widow. We encourage not only widows from Park Lane to be apart of this ministry, but any widow from our community is invited.
Park Lane is committed to the scriptural mandate of honoring and caring for the widow while serving as a resource and template for other ministries. James 1:27 reads, "Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction..."
Part of our mission is to empower the widow, but before she can be empowered she needs to experience healing.
W.O.W.W. gathers at Park Lane every second Saturday of the month @ 11 a.m. to share, encourage healing and hope, and help other widows discover they have a new place in God in this season of their lives. We also adventure together on planned day trips.
Participants meet in a relaxed, nonthreatening atomoshphere to study, share and have fun!
